Delete your Nexelo account or data

Applies to the Nexelo web app and the Nexelo mobile app (Android and iOS) · Last updated: 30 September 2026

Nexelo accounts are created by an organisation (usually your employer) for its own workspace. Your organisation controls most of the data about you in Nexelo, so requests normally go through its administrator — but you can always write to us directly and we'll handle it with them.

How to request deletion

  1. Ask your organisation's Nexelo administrator to remove your account or specific data. Admins can do this from Nexelo on the web.
  2. Or email us at support@nexelo.in from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject "Data deletion request". Tell us your organisation's name and whether you want your whole account deleted or only specific data (for example, a photo or document you uploaded).
  3. We confirm the request came from you, coordinate with your organisation where the data belongs to it, and reply to confirm when the deletion is done — normally within 30 days.

If your organisation owns the Nexelo subscription and wants to close its whole workspace, its account owner can email the same address.

Deleting some data without closing your account

  • In the app you can delete your notifications and tasks you created, and clear your personal phone number, emergency contact and address in My Profile.
  • Settings → Signed-in devices lets you sign out any phone, which removes that device's session and notification token.
  • For anything else — such as a specific photo, file or comment — email us as above.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in account: name, email address, password and security settings (two-step verification).
  • Your profile details you added: personal phone number, emergency contact and address.
  • Signed-in mobile devices and push-notification tokens.
  • Your notifications and notification preferences.
  • Photos, files and comments you uploaded, unless your organisation must keep them as part of its records (see below).
  • Event check-in data downloaded to your phone is deleted automatically when you sign out of the app.

What may be kept, and for how long

  • Employment records your organisation is legally required to keep — such as payslips, salary and statutory filings (PF, ESI, TDS), attendance and leave records — are retained by your organisation for the period required by Indian tax and labour law, then deleted.
  • Security and audit logs (for example, sign-ins and approvals) are kept while your organisation's account is active, to protect the workspace and meet compliance needs.
  • Backups may briefly hold copies of deleted data until they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.

When an organisation closes its Nexelo account, its data is kept for a short export window and then deleted or anonymised, except records that must be retained by law — as described in our Privacy Policy.
